By becoming a NSA 2025 Member you are helping protect Nantucket's harbors, water quality, and shellfish fisheries.

Healthy harbors are the lifeblood of our island community. At the Nantucket Shellfish Association (NSA), our mission is to preserve and protect our island's harbors, water quality and shellfish fisheries, which we actively pursue through:

  • Programs + education for our island's community, families, and youth that focus on the sustainability and beauty of our prized shellfish and aims to inspire the next generation of islanders to serve as stewards + ambassadors for Nantucket's shellfish fisheries.

  • Grants to island aquaculture researchers, shellfish farmers, water quality specialists, marine scientists, Nantucket shellfish initiatives, +. This has included everything in our harbors from a Clam Pilot Progam to Oyster Seed grants to Scallop Seed Stranding Rescues to Eelgrass research and more.
  • Scholarships to college students focused on maritime, marine, and / or aquaculture studies. Last year we were able to deliver scholarships to five college / university students and with your support we can increase this in 2025.

  • Celebration events that bring awareness to our island's prized shellfish. In addition to the NSA Shellfish Event Trilogy (Scallopalooza + OysterFest + ClamJam) we host the NSA Scallopers Ball every October as well as donor events throughout the summer season.

  • Partnerships + collaborations with on and off island organizations that have like minded missions + values. We believe a team effort is needed to pursue our mission. We cannot do this alone. We need your support as well as collaboration from other Nantucket non-profit orgs, businesses, people, + to ensure we can collectively keep Nantucket's harbors healthy and thriving.

By contributing $75 or more in 2025 you become a Nantucket Shellfish Association (NSA) 2025 Member. Most importantly, as a NSA 2025 Member you are publicly showing your support for our 22+ year strong organization that remains committed to protecting the health and sustainability of Nantucket's harbors, water quality, and shellfish fisheries.

Additional 2025 Member Benefits:

All members will receive digital updates on the positive impact our works makes and invitations to our events + programs + initiatives. With higher levels of financial support, you'll receive increased recognition and gain access to unique opportunities + experiences with NSA and our partners. Whether you are able to donate $75 or $75,000 it is all greatly appreciated and has a true impact on the health of Nantucket's harbors.
